Observations from gallery

From the piece Sunday Morning she used very bright colors especially green, brown and red.  In the painting there an older man on his way to church in the early morning.  He is dressed up and is walking alone, his cloths are detailed but not so much detailed as the objects in his surroundings.  The chickens and the dog are very detailed, but the sticks and the house in the background seem to be very plain and not very detailed.  It seems that the painter wanted your eyes to focus on him which is in the center of the painting and the chickens and dog which seem to be in almost all of her paintings.

The painting Full Litter with Pigs is a picture with two mother pigs feeding their piglets.  There is a man on the other side of the fence with a pipe and watching them, he is in a lot of the paintings and is the painters husband.  He is always painted in the same cloths which are brown and almost always has a pipe.  The sticks and twigs are not very detailed and the grass isn't detailed either. There is a small shed or house in the background which is very detailed and drawing your attention towards it, and the shed is in the center of the picture behind the pigs.  She uses very bright colors in the background showing fields and mountains.
